Does this image look familiar? I blogged about it a few days ago. It's the cloud business chasm IT Solutions Providers (VAR, MSP, SI etc) must cross to be what I call Cloud Revenue Producers. I also briefly mentioned what's contained in the next-gen playbook. Well, here are some more details.
Again, cloud and MSP tech vendors do a great job with their own Playbook and Program aka enablement program for their solutions on the right side of the chasm - this next-gen playbook has nothing to do with that - it's all about Cloud Business Building on the left side of the chasm - you need a cloud business model to effectively take advantage of the vendors great work and profitably sell cloud. So you need to get from the left side of the cloud business chasm to the right - this helps you do that in a "paint by numbers" model.
Here's page one of a version of a sample table of contents (copied directly from a latest version). Not shown are the dozens of modeling tools, sales and marketing tools and content, customer facing content etc. all required to build a profitable cloud business. On top of the playbook includes web-based 1:many and/or 1:1 training sessions.
